Acrylic painting buddha Bodhisattva Padmapani by Sonjaye Maurya
This one is my translation of 'Bodhisattva Padmapani' from the Ajanta caves. Padma means “lotus” and pani is “hand”,
so this is the Bodhisattva with lotus (as a symbol of enlightenment) in hand.
The image is of not just any Bodhisattva, but the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara of the Heart Sutra.
